Hi, listening to the Crooners Club and John mentioned Vic Damone playing his last concert in front of his 6 grandchildren. I don’t know if this is well known but in 2003 he decided to self produce his own CD series Signature Collection along with his son Perry on Vintage Records.. Initially was to be 7 series but just only two were issued. I have both these. Songs like Paradise and Madness I don’t think get played as not on any other releases. Not that I know anyway. Thought it might be of interest.

I enjoy Serenade Radio immensely. It s soothing for my soul in a hectic world. I want to thank all the presenters and people behind the scenes for making Serenade such a fantastic radio station.I work in a shop and i often tell customers who like easy listening music, that there is a station that does it so perfectly. And often they come back to tell me they listen and love it too.

Love the Mantovani spot on Thursday evening at 9.30pm. Wish it could be every evening. Don’t know the presenter’s name but he’s definitely old school. So mellow and understated, none of the modern hype. Adore it.

When the Robert Farnon Society ceased operations in 2013, I established the London Light Music Meetings Group, which held its first meeting in 2014. We have been going ever since – with a necessary break during Covid.
We hold two events per year, at present at the Lancaster Hall Hotel, near Lancaster Gate underground station.
The forthcoming meeting will take place on Sunday May 12th, commencing at 2.00 pm. Full details may be found, along with a great deal of other interesting and useful information, on our website (search London Light Music)

Hi Armando, yes it’s a beautiful song written by Bonnie Dobson in the early 1960s, although I played her 1969 recording this morning. Its been covered by a wide range of singers and groups, from The Grateful Dead to Lulu, so plenty of other versions to investigate!
